Spiritual Meaning of Letter D

Source: Wiki.

The letter D was originally called “Daleth”, meaning “door” or “womb”. The womb is the door for any unborn soul who wants to come to this physical planet.

When the Greeks adopted Daleth, it became Delta (Δ), whose numerological value is 4. Delta (Δ) bears a strong connection to Pythagoras’ triangular figure known as the Tetractys. To the Pythagoreans, 4 was the source of the Tetractys because it represents the doctrine of Perfection and Completion (10):

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10

In fact, when you add the suffix “-ed” to a verb, it means that the action was “completed”. When someone is Dead, their life is completed; the Door is closed, but another will open. You were Dead before, then you’re born into this world, then you Die again. Death was actually your previous state of existence before Life.

Yet on the last Day, you will be judged according to your Deeds throughout numerous deaths and rebirths. Only through righteous Deeds can you become a complete and perfect human being.

The letter D represents a square since it has 4 points, and when viewed in 3D, it becomes a cube. Spiritually, the cube symbolizes an ignorant man because his spiritual faculties are “boxed in” or undeveloped.

“But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.”

(Genesis 19:26)

When salt crystallizes, it crystallizes into a cube shape, which is the symbol of the letter D. When Lot’s wife looked back at the city of Sodom and became “a pillar of salt”, she represented the state of attaching to past habits where she created her own limitations.

If you open the cube, it’ll turn into the Cross that Jesus was crucified upon. Hence, the Death of Jesus symbolizes man being born again with a higher awareness free from worldly limitations/attachments.

Meaning of Letter D in Your Name

In numerology, if the first letter of your first name starts with D, you’re a Disciplined, Determined, Decisive, and Dependable person. The root of the letter D is in the physical world, so you tend to be security-oriented instead of wanting an unpredictable life.

D is an enclosed letter. Hence, you tend to be reserved, careful, and Domestic. Another good point is that you’re very hard-working, since the letter D represents Duty, Devotion, Drive, and Dream. People often trust you because you stay firm in your values.
